Sorry i haven't updated. we've had a few BIG events happen. Lets start with Sunday. Sunday we went to the hospital at around 10:15 am and we arrived just in time for Cas to be extubated and we were also informed that the last drainage tube had been removed. After being extubated he had the Femoral arterial line removed. Shortly after getting that removed he had his first bowel movement in days, so as a result they had to remove the urine catheter as well. Somewhere in between all of this, Cas had a Tonic siezure. They don't really know why. He had a CT scan done and a small subdural hematoma was found. The neurologist said it was so small 1.8mm that it probably wasn't the cause. I did however read a report that it was probably a withdrawal seizure as the midazolan had been discontinued and morphine was decreased earlier in the day. They did administer phenobarbitol and he is now on a maintenance dose of that drug.
