Back in February I heard about a afghan that was traveling to different families who had family member with T21. I signed up immediately thinking that even if it took years to get to us- it was an opportunity not to be missed. Never in my dreams did i believe that just a few short months later we would be fortunate to have it in our home. It's an honor just to be chosen much less so soon.
We received it a week before Halloween from a friend who lives in the same city. We actually got to get together for the hand off. Hunter who was the previous posession did not initially want to hand it over, but he did and Castian became the temporary owner of it. The day that Castian received the afghan he was able to sit for the first time for about 3 Sec!!!!! something we have been waiting and waiting for. Not only that, but as i was taking pictures i put him between his two sister on the couch, if you look carefully you can see that he is not leaning back or on his sister-- he is in fact sitting there on his own!!!
We took it trick or treating and to our annual Ds association dinner and Dance. Here it was put on display for all to see.
We are sad to see it go and one day hope to get Castian a afghan of his own. I just want to thank CJ for giving us the chance to be a part of something that binds our T21 family together ....
Now for the pics :-)

Love Love Love! I am so excited for you and can't wait to get that afgan into Ella's little arms!
